The AirBnB Way (Joseph Michelli) Visual Synopsis by Dani Saveker
Dani originally captured Joseph’s book focusing on the Zappos culture which continues to be one of her favourite books. In May 2019, Joseph contacted Dani to ask if she would consider capturing his next book, The Airbnb Way (due for release October 2019). He very kindly arranged for a pre-release draft of the book to be sent and the result is this piece.
The book reveals the 5 main elements that underpin the approach and success of Airbnb beginning with how the founders, based on design thinking, developed a strong purpose to anchor everything from. The book is clearly structured, a delight to read and impactful with it’s accessible content. Highly recommended read!
On first sight, Joseph wrote to Dani:
“YOU ARE MY HERO! Thank you Dani. You are brilliant, talented and incredibly kind. We are blessed to know you. Joseph.”
Dani explains how she also included the GLAS Framework within the drawing and how perfectly the Airbnb model sits within this. The framework can be found in most of the Visual Synopsis pieces as she continues to research and develop the IP.
